However, Gundham, despite his pride, appears able to easily concede when he feels Hajime has bested him. This treatment is not excessive to Hajime. He refers to them as 'mere humans / fiends,' and often makes light jabs at them all. Gundham regards Hajime with mildly degrading regard most of the time, as he does with all his other classmates.
